Lettering Engraving

Following the guidelines described below, any of the following engraving techniques are guaranteed to remain legible for all-time in any climate.

Shallow Sunk letters

Lettering is sandblasted lightly into polished granite surface. Suitable for all inscriptions on Remco Black, Remco Blue and Remco Red Granites.

Laser Etched Letters 

The computer directed laser etching machine strips the polish off the surface, creating a delicately etched letter. Suitable for Remco Black Granite only.

Deep Sunk Letters

Lettering is sandblasted deepinto the granite surrounded by a flashed panel. Available
for all inscriptions on Remco Mountain Rose, Remco Red, Peppered Sienna, Remco Blue Pearl, Remco Emerald Pearl and Polished Remco Stanstead Grey Granites.

Double Outline Flashed Letters

A deep line is sandblasted around each letter, then the polish is flashed out of the centre of each letter. Available for family names only on all polished granites.

Double Outline Polished Letter 

A deep line is sandblasted around each letter, the background is flashed off within the confines of a panel leaving each letter polished. Available for family names only on all polished granites.

Raised Polished Letters 

Background around the letters is recessed to create a raised polished letter. For all inscriptions on Remco Black, Remco Blue and Remco Red granites.
